Jennifer Bennett

Founder, Director of Operations

Jennifer Bennett works with athletes in the areas of nutrition, planning, and performance support. With a background in medicine and sports nutrition, she has spent many years helping athletes prepare for training and competition with clear structure, organization, and practical strategies they can follow in real life.

Her experience spans grassroots to elite sport, including professional cycling teams, Team USA programs, and international competition environments. Jennifer is also the founder of the Tri to Cure Triathlon, which for four consecutive years became the largest youth triathlon in the world while raising funds for Juvenile Diabetes Research and has worked as Office and Customer Service Manager at Hincapie Sportswear.

Jennifer specializes in helping athletes manage the details surrounding training — from nutrition and fueling strategies to race preparation and logistics — so they can focus on performing with confidence.

  • Jennifer’s journey into working with athletes was an unexpected byproduct of her studies. Jennifer began working for an Internal Medicine group in Charlotte, North Carolina after graduating from Medical School. She also did a one year specialty in Sports Nutrition. The medical group she was practicing with was responsible for taking care of all the Professional and Collegiate sports athletes in the Charlotte area. It was there that Jennifer learned the importance of how proper nutrition fuels training. She began working with athletes to give them customized nutrition strategies for their training and target events.

In the early 1990s Jennifer moved to Greenville, South Carolina with her two sons. In 1998 her oldest son was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. Determined that the diagnosis would not limit his opportunities, she immersed herself in understanding endurance training and the management of carbohydrate and insulin demands during exercise. When he began cycling in 2000, there was little guidance available for long-duration endurance sport in young athletes with Type 1 Diabetes. Jennifer worked closely with his endocrinologist, effectively helping develop practical strategies for managing training and racing safely.

Her experience combining science, endurance sport, and community led her to found the Tri to Cure Triathlon in support of Juvenile Diabetes Research. For more than ten years the event raised funds for local charities and, for four consecutive years, became the largest youth triathlon in the world. The event provided children a safe and welcoming introduction to endurance sport and helped build a strong local athlete community and corporate partnerships.

Jennifer has long believed strong communities support successful athletes. She volunteered as head of the Children’s Bike Rodeo and helmet giveaway at the Michelin Classic Cycling race and served on the boards of the JDRF Ride to Cure Diabetes and Meals on Wheels cycling events.

Since 2009 she has worked with several professional cycling teams in the United States and internationally, including Team USA programs, Optum-Kelly Benefits, and Neon Velo in the United Kingdom. Her roles have included team manager, community and corporate relations, logistics coordination, and serving as a soigneur at National Championships, UCI World Cups, and UCI Road and Track World Championships.

Jennifer now supports athletes by helping organize and simplify the many variables around training and competition — nutrition planning, travel preparation, race-day logistics, and event strategy. Her goal is to give athletes clarity and confidence so that on race day they can focus on executing their performance, knowing everything else has been thoughtfully prepared.
